Master Bedroom Refresh

August 8, 2020

Done! (for now lol) I really wanted this room to be set up and relaxing, since we are in the midst of unpacking (yes, it’s been 3+ months but we are human), and tackling other projects. This house is a lot of work, which is why mentally I just needed a room “done”. Eventually we’ll replace trim, flooring, and doors, but that’s going to take a lot of time and money.

How We Turned One Bathroom into Two!

January 9, 2020

It’s done! What was once a poorly laid out extra large sized bathroom, is now a beautiful & functional master bathroom AND separate powder room! A special thank you to my dear friend Megan for coming up with the concept.

Entryway Before & After

November 7, 2019

It’s complete! Well, just about. 300+ square feet for an entryway was a lot for us to tackle. When you throw in 5 random closets, it really makes you think how it could be mapped out to be efficient for a busy family. Other than adding art to the stairway halls, and finishing up the stairs themselves, the space is complete and we couldn’t be happier.

Here are a few of the Before & After photos:

Nolan’s Nursery

September 11, 2019

Nolan is 6 months old and has officially moved into his own room!

The room is my former office and approximately 100 square feet. It does not have a closet, so we decided to use Evan’s old 8 drawer dresser. Evan has since graduated to a bunk bed with a built-in dresser (he also has a closet in his room).

Nursery + Master Bedroom – The First 6 Months

June 24, 2019

Nolan has arrived! Our Valentine’s day baby showed up fast and furious just a few minutes before midnight. We knew ahead of time he’d live in our bedroom for the first 6 months, so that meant time to rearrange. Our bedroom is fairly average sized, so I wasn’t sure how to do it without feeling cramped.

Lindsey’s Orange Chicken & Veggie Stir Fry

August 10, 2017

DSC_0412

YUM! I’m so excited to share this meal with you. Although I’m not a “food blogger”, I have been having such a great time learning new recipes from my dear friend Lindsey. The reason for all of the meal posts lately is due to my new business, Laura Jean Product Photography. I have fallen in love with photographing products for businesses and it’s turned into a little “side gig”. I am hoping to grow it slowly over the next few years as I learn more and more about using my camera every week.

To make this delicious, quick, & easy meal, scroll down for the recipe!

Easy DIY Infant & Toddler Fruit + Veggie Pouches

June 14, 2017

DSC_0205

I’ve been making pouches for Evan since he was about 8 months old, or so (he just turned 2 recently). The entire time I’ve been using the Infantino Squeeze Station, which is just $20 right now on Amazon. I am also using their pouches, which are unfortunately Not reusable. Ideally, I’d like to buy reusable ones, but in the meantime I am stocked up with the disposable ones due to a major clearance markdown at Target — and I can’t resist clearance if it’s something I’ll use for sure.

Easy & Delicious Lasagna Skillet

June 7, 2017

Easy Lasagna Skillet

DSC_0024

It’s been so fun lately learning about the Wildtree products my friend Lindsey sells. I love seeing them put to use, as it gives me great ides for family mealtime. I’ve never been much of a cook.. I prefer baking a loaf of banana bread over cooking a meal any day. Dinner can definitely be a struggle, either I’m not sure what to make, or I need ingredients, etc. We recently made a lasagna skillet on the stove, and not only was it incredibly easy to make, but it was enjoyed by everyone. What I love most with this skillet, is the process of making it is so simple — and it tastes great! It reminds me of a de-constructed cheeseburger. Another great perk:  you only need to purchase 4 additional products. That’s it. Keep scrolling for the recipe & thanks for reading!

Evan’s ‘Big Boy’ Bedroom

May 8, 2017

Recently we’ve made some big changes to Evan’s room. Excited to share them with you!

Below are three photos of Evan’s room BEFORE we did anything. (except carpets were ripped out, but that’s it!) It was a mess!
